I think conventional war was ended. But the mistrust is still there. New organization and another set of gurilla warfare will be start very soon. Many LTTE still in Sri Lanka. They may regroup after some time. The refuge camp will be breading ground. If need peace, settle these refugees to good housing, education and jobs. It is not good to put fake identity in any forums. The guy (MARPHAD) pointed out have a good civic sense. Here admins are not paid. They have jobs, and not always watching people. There are few people here trying to mislead the biggest problem. When the Indians support SL Tamils, it is not just ethnic affinity, it is also based on our country's own interest. If India could not handle a country like SL, then what else we can do. I dont like the way India handling this situation, completely ignoring the deaths of thousands of innocent people. Even today, there was bombing on the hospital. It has become common now to bomb schools and hospitals and trying to justify that.
I still find it hard to equate a person death > tens of 1000's of innocent people death.
But still wanting for more deaths. India should step in and stop this genocide. It is shame on us to turn our face and watching it.

Please, they do not pull aside every 'Khan' in the world. Yes, things seem OTT every now and then with an amount of drunken patriotism -- and you may come across an occasional "Voldemort" from the INS. However, can you place blame solely on homeland security? We live in a global world / economy of nearly 6 billion and every day visitors with trade of varied kind - surely you cannot expect the avg Joe at homeland security to know every zero talented b'wood hero out there?! I'd also urge you to look at the brighter side of the coin - of the various programs in place to have African Muslims, Arabs and the Iraqis being moved into the US, by giving them jobs, homes and permanent resident status. Likewise with Afghans, and the visa diversity program. These folks have names like Abdul, Osama, Khalid and Khan. So please, tone down the b'wood inspired sensationalism - view things in context.

Well ... the fact remains "a capacious, larger-than-life persona who was alive yesterday is just no more today?” In matter of seconds he's gone, and nobody could have prevented it, whatsoever.
It's a deeps*** lesson that life is just so unpredictable whoever it is. We just have to live life rather than live ONLY for the very fact that life should get greened one day. I am getting a stronger messages by the way of such news that we should not be “damm” desperate/obsessed/vexed every second for not getting greened as if it were a pill to immortality. Lesson to stop worrying & 'get life' since we aren't vanished into oblivion as of yet.
ps: I am not preacher, just some random thoughts!

I have my EB3-RIR pending at NSC with PD JAN 2004. I-140 concurrently filed on July 23rd 2007 at NSC is still pending. I do have the EAD and AP approved.
I have another EB2 labor (PERM) certified but its I-140 was denied on the basis of qualification. I have 3 yr B.Sc + 2 Yr. Post Graduate Diploma from India. This labor was certified on Dec. 26th 2006 and I-140 was denied last year after replying to the RFE raised regarding qualification. USCIS was looking for 4 yrs. degree instead of 3 yrs. They didn't accept my 2 yrs. post graduate on top of my 3 yrs. B.Sc degree.
My question: Is it advisable to go ahead and revive this PERM labor to file fresh I-140 again? If Yes, then what all I should do before filing the fresh I-140? I have almost 8 years of work experience in USA beside my 3+2 years degree from India.
Please advise.

I assume that all the EB2 India who have decided to go for CP route will get their immigrant visas stamped in India. I noticed that New Delhi and Mumbai consulates posts a list of candidates due for immigrant visa interview at their website by the middle of the month. May be this list can give us an idea as to how many EB2 India will get their GC through consular posts:

People in Quixstar and Amway can best be described as organisms who would like to prey on your humble attitude so they can eat away your wallet including your peace of mind. He asked me my orkut id, facebook id, phone number, which company I work for, when I do get off from work, when can I meet him for a cup of coffee. Thankfully, I knew these kind of people before.
One of my friends told me that Quixstar was first known as Amway in US. And they had to change the name to avoid taxes or some kind of heavy penalty.
Next time you step out of your house, remember what your mommy told you 20 years ago:

Ok, the guy that sets the dates says that he sees no possibility of dates moving forward for EB India and ppl are still thinking there is hope? I am an optimist and try to see the brighter side - and that side here is that we know there is no hope for those past 2005 in the next two years. That to me is sufficient to make decisions and move on. Be it changing to a different job or going back to the home country - most probably the former for me.
Folks, we all agree the news delivered is not good. One good way to work en mass is to send complaints in thousands to the Ombudsman. For more details google for CIS Ombudsman.

The original post was not about SRK detention.. but it was giving an idea of US immigration system. Well everyone here is singing praises of US immigration system.. if anyone of you will be detained if simillar name flashes on their computer and detained for hours and sent back then i hope you guys don't change your tune..
